HAMPSTEAD — A fallen tree on electrical wires has closed a portion of Brown Hill Road Friday afternoon.
The Hampstead Police Department announced the closure at 1:36 p.m. near the intersection with Checkerberry Road.
Electrical wires are down and lying in the roadway, making the area impassable to traffic.
Motorists are advised to detour using Hunt Road to Harper Ridge Road to Checkerberry Road to circumvent the hazard.
Officials have not indicated when the road is expected to reopen.
