YONKERS — Westchester County Police are investigating a stabbing that occurred this evening aboard a Bee-Line bus in Yonkers.
At 5:10 p.m., Westchester County and Yonkers Police Department officers responded to a report that a teen-aged male had been stabbed on the bus as it traveled on Elm Street in the Nodine Hill neighborhood.
The assailant exited the bus through the rear door after the attack occurred.
The victim, who was stabbed once in the chest, was transported in stable condition to Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx.
Detectives are investigating whether the victim and assailant are known to each other.
