SOUTH WINDSOR — A Vernon man was arrested Thursday after allegedly stealing merchandise from two stores and possessing drug paraphernalia, according to South Windsor police.
Christopher M. Cammilletti, 32, was taken into custody at 2:02 p.m. after police identified him as the suspect who stole $222.92 worth of items from Lowes at 31 Buckland Hills Drive.
Police said Cammilletti also stole $219.96 worth of merchandise from Target at 125 Buckland Hills Drive.
Officers found a glass pipe commonly used for smoking narcotics in Cammilletti’s possession during the arrest.
Cammilletti was charged with two counts of sixth-degree larceny and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was processed and held on a $5,000 surety bond.
Cammilletti is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court at 9 a.m. Friday.
