HERKIMER — Members of the Herkimer Police Department executed a search warrant at the Galinsky Apartments on Protection Ave resulting in a drug arrest Wednesday at approximately 10:30 a.m.

The warrant stemmed from a two-month investigation into the alleged sale of methamphetamine by Tasha Dixon, 43, from apartment 217.

Officers conducted multiple hours of surveillance and gathered evidence before applying for the search warrant.

During the search of Dixon’s apartment, police discovered prepackaged methamphetamine, scales and cash.

Dixon was taken into custody and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance with intent to sell, a class B felony.

Following arraignment, Dixon was remanded to the Herkimer County Correctional Facility without bail due to having two prior felony convictions.

Dixon is scheduled to appear in Village Court at a later date.
