DUNBARTON — A Contoocook woman has been arrested in connection with a fatal fentanyl overdose that occurred in Dunbarton last February.
Melissa Moscaritolo, 47, faces charges of Sale of a Controlled Drug – Death Resulting, a special felony, and two counts of Falsifying Physical Evidence, both Class B felonies.
The arrest follows an approximately year-long investigation conducted by Sergeant Brian Tyler of the Dunbarton Police Department.
According to police, Moscaritolo was a roommate of the deceased at the time of the overdose.
The investigation involved executing numerous search warrants and conducting multiple interviews before charges were filed.
Moscaritolo was processed on a Dunbarton Police Department arrest warrant at the Merrimack County House of Corrections on Friday, March 7, where she was already being held on unrelated drug sale charges.
She remains in custody and will be arraigned in Concord District Court on Monday, March 10.
