ANSONIA — A 51-year-old local man was arrested Tuesday in connection with the overdose death of a 40-year-old woman, marking his second arrest related to a fatal overdose, police said.
Michael Dupre of Ansonia was charged with operating a drug factory, three counts of sale of narcotics, two counts of sale of a hallucinogenic, misrepresentation of a controlled substance, and sale of a controlled substance in public housing.
The arrest warrant was served on March 4 following a year-long investigation by Detective Jon Troesser of the Ansonia Police Department.
Dupre was previously arrested on Oct. 9, 2024, in connection with the overdose death of a 24-year-old female Ansonia resident.
Police held Dupre on a $150,000 bond for arraignment Tuesday at Derby Superior Court.
