WEBSTER — Four police officers were injured during a raid at a local snack shop where authorities discovered drugs, weapons and two aggressive dogs, officials said Thursday.

Webster Police and FBI agents executed a search warrant at Mr. Exotix’s snack retail shop at 106R E. Main St. around 1 p.m. on March 5.

The raid followed a months-long investigation into alleged narcotics sales from the store.

Officers encountered resistance from two men inside the shop and were attacked by two pit bull dogs whose presence was unknown to investigators beforehand, according to police.

One dog was immobilized with a taser while officers used OC spray on the second animal.

Three of the injured officers were transported to UMass Webster Hospital, where they were treated and released.

Webster Animal Control took custody of the dogs, identified as “Chocolate Chip” and “Salami Mami,” which were not up-to-date on rabies vaccinations.

The animals are under a 10-day quarantine.

Authorities seized “numerous illicit substances,” a firearm, ammunition, a taser and other contraband during the search.

Jeffrey Salley, 35, of Yonkers, N.Y., was arrested on multiple charges including possession of an electric stun gun, obstruction of justice, and various drug possession with intent to distribute charges.

Gabriel Blandino, 30, of the Bronx, N.Y., faces charges including possession of a firearm without an FID card, improper storage of a firearm, possession of an electric stun gun, and multiple drug-related offenses.

Both men are also charged with conspiracy to violate drug laws.
