Two arrested in Kingston on charges involving indecent material with minors

KINGSTON — State Police Kingston Bureau of Criminal Investigation arrested John F. Boyle, 33, and Danielle F. Scofield, 33, both of Kingston, on March 4 following an investigation into indecent material involving minors.

Boyle was charged with promoting an obscene sexual performance by a child less than 17, possessing obscene sexual performance by a child less than 16, promoting a sexual performance by a child less than 17, and possessing sexual performance by a child less than 16.

Scofield was charged with promoting an obscene sexual performance by a child less than 17, possessing obscene sexual performance by a child less than 16, and possessing sexual performance by a child less than 16.

The investigation began last October after State Police received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

The investigation determined that Boyle and Scofield were exchanging indecent material involving minors online.

Scofield and Boyle were arraigned in the City of Kingston Court on March 4 and are due to appear in the Town of Ulster Court on April 15.
