CANTON — The St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office reported a swift arrest on Warrant Wednesday, capturing Philip K. Smithers.
Smithers was wanted on an outstanding county court warrant, including charges of second-degree strangulation and third-degree assault.
Authorities urged the public not to intervene but to report any sightings, leading to Smithers’ arrest just 14 minutes after their initial announcement.
