OLEAN — A 54-year-old man was arrested Tuesday on an outstanding federal drug warrant at the intersection of Putnam Street and North 5th Street, according to the Olean Police Department.
Theodore Coffie, also known as “Teddy Tickles,” was taken into custody by the department’s Criminal Investigation Unit and Street Crimes Unit.
During a search of Coffie, investigators discovered a handgun and approximately 20 grams of crack cocaine.
Coffie was transported by federal agents on the outstanding warrant, with additional charges for the gun and drugs pending.
A search warrant was later executed at 126 N. 5th St., where Coffie had been staying, but no additional drugs were found.
