HENRIETTA — A Henrietta man faces felony charges after allegedly stealing a $60,000 construction vehicle from a Jefferson Road parking lot last December.
David W. Tallman Jr., 46, was arrested on March 5 at 7:12 a.m. on Jefferson Road after a three-month investigation into the theft of a 2000 Case 721c wheel loader.
Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies initially responded to 1225 Jefferson Road on December 1, 2024, at 7:02 p.m. for a reported larceny.
The stolen construction equipment was recovered two days later in the Town of Groveland by the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators identified Tallman as a suspect after analyzing surveillance video and evidence collected from the recovered loader.
When deputies approached Tallman on March 5, he allegedly provided a false name before being taken into custody.
Tallman is charged with second-degree grand larceny, a class C felony, and false personation, a class B misdemeanor.
Following his arraignment in Henrietta Town Court, Tallman was released to pretrial supervision.
