Brookline police make arrest in Tesla sticker vandalism case

BROOKLINE — Police have arrested a Roslindale man accused of vandalizing Tesla vehicles by adhering stickers to them over the weekend.

Numerous Tesla owners reported the incidents on Sunday, March 2, leading to an investigation by the Brookline Police Department.

According to police, one victim confronted the suspect, who allegedly claimed that his actions were protected as freedom of speech.

The victim recorded the interaction and provided the video to investigators.

On Tuesday, March 4, the department shared a video of the suspect online, seeking the public’s help in identifying him.

Within hours, a community member reported spotting the suspect riding a bicycle down the street.

Officers then stopped and identified him as Harrison Grant Randall, 39, of Roslindale.

The Brookline District Court issued an arrest warrant for Randall, charging him with six counts of defacing property under MGL C.266 S.126A.

Randall was arrested shortly before 7 p.m. in Roslindale and taken to the Brookline Police Station, where he was booked on the charges.

Initially, his bail was set at $2,500.

He was arraigned in Brookline District Court on the morning of March 6, subsequently released on $400 bail, and is due back in court on May 7.
