Waterbury, CT police arrest 3 in connection with auto theft

WATERBURY — Officers from the Waterbury Police Department’s Auto Theft Task Force and the Connecticut Violent Crime Task Force apprehended three individuals during a patrol on Hillside Avenue on March 3 at approximately 3:15 p.m.

The officers discovered a 1999 white Chevy S10, reported stolen from Waterbury, parked at 25 Hillside Avenue.

After further investigation, the occupant of the vehicle and two individuals outside the vehicle were taken into custody.

Kevon Mahadeo, 39, of Torrington, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of narcotics (two counts), and larceny of a motor vehicle (first offense).

Carmen Rivera, 42, of Waterbury, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and larceny of a motor vehicle (first offense).

Jimmy Stevenson, 46, of Waterbury, was charged with larceny of a motor vehicle (first offense).
