Series of arrests for impaired driving and drug possession made across New York state

NEWFIELD — New York State Police made multiple arrests for impaired driving across the state spanning various cities and towns from Feb. 24 to March 2.

On Feb. 24 at approximately 6:30 p.m., Joseph T. Jordan, 32, of Spencer, was arrested in Newfield for driving while ability impaired by drugs.

His arrest followed a one-vehicle crash on Peru Road in the town of Groton.

Jordan, who drove off the roadway, demonstrated characteristics of impairment during field sobriety tests and was issued court appearance tickets for March 10.

Later the same evening, at 9:24 p.m., Jonathan C. Morales De Jesus, 33, of Binghamton, was arrested for driving while intoxicated and resisting arrest.

Troopers observed him driving without headlights and, upon inquiry, detected an alcoholic odor.

Morales De Jesus was processed with a blood alcohol content of .17% and given a court date of March 18.

On Feb. 25, Dakota J. Bailey, 29, of Towanda, PA, was arrested in the town of Nichols after his vehicle was found in a ditch on East River Road.

Impaired by drugs, Bailey was issued court appearance tickets for March 19.

The same day in Fleischmanns, Christopher Jensen, 59, of Newburgh, was arrested at 7:01 p.m. for DWI after his vehicle was found on a snowbank.

His breath alcohol content was .13%.

Rachel S. Kendall, 46, of Harpersfield, was also arrested after being found intoxicated at Stamford Central Schools and was issued court appearance tickets for March 24.

On Feb. 26, Jordan J. Laneuville, 29, of Minoa, was found near Interstate 81 impaired by drugs and arrested after being checked at a medical center.

He is to appear in court on March 11.

On Feb. 27, Muath Kinsey, 22, of Johnson City, was stopped after speeding on State Route 17, showing signs of impairment.

He was charged with aggravated DWI and had a B.A.C of .18%, leading to a court date on March 24.

Starting Feb. 28, numerous arrests were made in Binghamton, Stamford, Norwich, and Oneonta for a variety of charges ranging from driving while impaired by drugs to criminal possession of a controlled substance.

These included Allison M. Madison, 35, of Binghamton; Dustin R. Cole, 31, of Rotterdam; Cale J. Slack, 29, of Lisle; Andrew J. Pierce, 22, of Sherburne; and Dametri S. Howard, 22, of Sidney.

Each was issued appearance tickets for dates between March 20 and April 2.

On March 1, arrests continued with Christopher J. Donaldson, 37, and Andrew M. Burdick, 31, for DWI in Unadilla and the Deposit area, respectively.

On March 2, Nathanael N. Moon, 25, of Franklin, was arrested in Oneonta for driving while ability impaired by drugs.

Each arrest was accompanied by court appearance tickets.
