SCHENECTADY — At approximately 11:20 p.m. on March 3, Schenectady police officers were dispatched to the area of Eastern Avenue and Rankin Avenue for the report of a single motor vehicle crash.
Upon arrival, officers located a car that had struck a tree.
The driver was treated on scene by Schenectady Fire Department paramedics but succumbed to his injuries.
Members of the Schenectady Police Department’s Traffic Division, Crime Scene Unit, and the Schenectady County Crash Reconstruction Team responded and are continuing to investigate the incident.
The name of the driver is not being released at this time pending the notification of family.
