WINCHENDON — Police arrested a 49-year-old man Wednesday after an early morning raid uncovered evidence of child pornography at a Baldwinville State Road residence.
Douglas Duarte was taken into custody at 356 Baldwinville State Road following the execution of a search warrant at approximately 6 a.m. on March 5.
The operation involved multiple agencies, including Winchendon Police, the Secret Service New England Cyber Fraud Task Force, the Massachusetts State Police STOP team, and members of the North Worcester County Drug Task Force.
Authorities seized numerous electronics and hard drives during the search.
A preliminary forensic examination conducted at the scene revealed what officials described as a “large cache” of files containing child pornography.
Duarte faces charges of possession and dissemination of child pornography, along with two counts of improper storage of a firearm.
