Narcotics bust in Dunkirk leads to arrest, ongoing investigation

DUNKIRK — A several-month investigation into narcotics activity in Dunkirk led to the execution of two search warrants in the morning of March 3.

Narcotics investigators from the Dunkirk Police Department, Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, Jamestown Police Department, and FBI Safe Streets participated in the search warrants.

Dunkirk Police SRT made entry at 91 Lincoln Ave. while the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s SWAT executed a search at 4 Front St. Lwr Apt. in Dunkirk.

Investigators seized cocaine, fentanyl, scales, packaging materials for drugs, a shotgun, and a rifle during the searches.

Alberta Maxwell-Battle was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th, and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd.

Maxwell-Battle was transported to Dunkirk Police Department and arraigned in City Court.

Investigations at both locations are ongoing, with the possibility of additional arrests.
