GREENWICH — State police arrested Jeremy W. Allen, 36, of Schuylerville, New York, for grand larceny in the second degree on Feb. 27.
Troopers received a complaint on Jan. 16 at about 1:11 p.m. from a Washington County resident who reported being a victim of extortion.
The investigation determined that Allen allegedly demanded money from the victim multiple times over a period exceeding five years through extortion, resulting in the theft of more than $50,000.
Allen was arrested at his home and taken to SP Greenwich for processing.
He was subsequently transferred to the Washington County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.
