HENRIETTA — Deputies arrested two of three suspects involved in a robbery at a Target store in Henrietta after a pursuit into Rochester, seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a third.

On March 2 at 7:58 p.m., Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a reported larceny in progress at the store located at 2325 Marketplace Drive.

Two suspects were seen filling a shopping cart with merchandise and left without paying.

An employee attempted to intervene and grab the cart but was forcibly stopped by the suspects, who entered a waiting black SUV staffed by a third individual.

When deputies located the vehicle, the suspects refused to stop, leading to a pursuit into Rochester.

One suspect, Clem J. Long Jr., 22, of Rochester, exited the vehicle on Lyell Avenue near Broad Street and was apprehended with assistance from the Rochester Police Department.

The driver, Lavell E. Harris, 40, of Rochester, was taken into custody on Alameda Street.

The second suspect fled the vehicle near Dewey Avenue and Emerson Street and remains at large.

Authorities retrieved the stolen merchandise valued at approximately $2,000 from the vehicle.

Long is charged with multiple offenses, including second-degree robbery and unlawful fleeing of a police officer.

He was remanded to Monroe County Jail on $5,000 bail or $10,000 bond.

Harris faces similar charges and was released to pretrial services.

The sheriff’s office urges anyone with information on the third suspect to email [email protected], referencing CR #25-038995.
