Arrest made in Ballston following disturbance call

BALLSTON — The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office responded to a disturbance call at 1427 Saratoga Road on Monday at 6:28 a.m.

Following an investigation, Eric D. Wald, 47, of Schenectady, was arrested on charges of criminal contempt in the first degree, aggravated harassment in the second degree, endangering the welfare of a child, and harassment in the second degree.

Wald is accused of violating an order of protection by making physical contact with the protected person and sending a threatening communication via text message.

The alleged physical altercation occurred in the presence of a 16-year-old child.

Wald was arraigned before Honorable Steven L. Brown in Milton Town Court.

He was subsequently remanded to Saratoga County Jail, pending further proceedings in Ballston Town Court.
