PLATTSBURGH — The New York State Police Troop B Computer Crime Unit arrested Maximillian W. Noviski, 21, of Plattsburgh on Feb. 14, on charges related to child sexual exploitation.
Authorities charged Noviski with one count each of promotion of a sexual performance by a child and possession of a sexual performance by a child.
The investigation began after two social media platforms reported potential child exploitation material to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, alleging that such content had been disseminated via their services.
Upon questioning, Noviski was found to possess child sexual abuse material.
He was arraigned in the Town of Plattsburgh Court and subsequently released.
Noviski is expected to reappear in court at a later date.
The investigation is still ongoing.
