Pedestrian identified in hit-and-run, investigation ongoing

VERONA — The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office has identified the pedestrian involved in a hit-and-run accident on Route 365 in the Town of Verona.

Sheriff Robert Maciol stated that Timothy D. Sullivan, 61, from Oneida, was struck by a vehicle on Monday night at approximately 7:15 p.m.

Sullivan was reportedly walking towards Oneida, with traffic, just east of Nicky Doodles when the incident occurred.

The vehicle involved in the accident left the scene and has not been located.

Authorities are requesting anyone with dash camera footage from the area between 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., or who may have noticed a vehicle with recent damage, to contact the Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Unit.
