OGDENSBURG — The New York State Police Troop B Computer Crime Unit arrested Lee A. Griffith, 34, of Lafayette Street, Ogdensburg, on Feb. 28 on charges related to child exploitation.

Griffith faces one count each of promotion of a sexual performance by a child and possession of a sexual performance by a child.

The investigation began after two social media platforms reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that child exploitation material had been sent through their platforms in September and October.

Griffith was arraigned in the City of Ogdensburg Court and was released but is scheduled to reappear on March 25.

The investigation is ongoing, with assistance from the Ogdensburg Police Department and Homeland Security Investigations.
