Worcester police arrest North Brookfield man on gun theft charges

WORCESTER — Worcester Police Department officers responded to an alarm call at The Gun Parlor on Prescott Street at approximately 12:44 p.m. on March 1.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with employees who indicated that a male suspect had smashed a display case, stolen a firearm, and fled on foot.

The suspect, identified as 27-year-old Mohsin Mohsin of North Brookfield, reportedly escaped in a motor vehicle parked nearby.

Following a preliminary investigation by detectives, Mohsin was located and taken into custody on March 2 with assistance from the Spencer Police Department, the Massachusetts State Police, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

Mohsin faces charges of larceny of a firearm, carrying a firearm without a license, and breaking into a depository/safe/vault.

The investigation is ongoing.
