WHEELOCK — Vermont State Police arrested a Wheelock resident Saturday evening after discovering a violation of conditions of release during a routine traffic stop.
Troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks were patrolling the Wheelock area when they witnessed a motorist commit a motor vehicle violation shortly before 6 p.m.
The subsequent traffic stop led them to identify Jonathan Rutledge, 46, as a passenger in the vehicle.
Through further investigation, it was found that Rutledge was in breach of his conditions of release.
He was taken into custody and transported to the barracks in St. Johnsbury for processing.
Rutledge has been cited to appear at Caledonia County Supreme Court on March 24.
