MILFORD — On Friday, Feb. 28, patrol officers from the Milford Police Department responded to TJ Maxx, located at 126 Medway Road, for a shoplifting incident.
Upon arrival, officers were met by store loss prevention personnel, who reported that Michelle Howerton, 55, of Milford, had stolen several items that day and had been captured on CCTV shoplifting on previous occasions.
At approximately 7:40 p.m., Howerton was arrested and transported to the Milford Police Department for booking.
During the booking process, officers located a total of 9.6 grams of packaged cocaine on her person.
Howerton has been charged with shoplifting by concealing merchandise, third offense, five counts, and drug possession of a class B substance, subsequent offense.
