Manchester police collaborate with federal agencies in drug and firearm bust

MANCHESTER — On Feb. 28, members of the Manchester Police SWAT Team executed a high-risk search warrant following a collaborative investigation involving the Manchester Police Department, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives’ New Hampshire Violent Crime Task Force, and the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Manchester District Office Group 2.

The investigation focused on the possession of significant quantities of illegal drugs and firearms linked to criminal activity.

An arrest warrant was issued for 32-year-old Jose Rodriguez Grau of Bedford, along with search warrants for his residence and that of an associate.

During the search, authorities recovered several firearms, multiple kilograms of a substance believed to be cocaine, a large amount of ammunition, and U.S. currency.

Rodriguez Grau was charged with possession of a controlled drug (cocaine), possession of a controlled drug with intent to sell, controlled drug acts prohibited, felonious use of a firearm, and felon in possession of a dangerous weapon.

The investigation is ongoing.
