HARPERSFIELD — A Vermont resident has been charged with multiple vehicle-related offenses following a traffic stop in Harpersfield.

The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office reported the arrest of Sean C. Letourneau, 50, of Milton, Vermont, early on the morning of Feb. 19.

A sheriff’s deputy observed Letourneau’s vehicle exceeding the 55 mph speed limit on State Highway 23.

During the stop, it was determined that Letourneau’s driving privileges in New York were suspended due to an unanswered summons in Chester.

Letourneau faces charges of aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the third degree, operation by an unlicensed operator, and speeding in a 55 mph zone.

He was released with an appearance ticket and traffic summonses and is scheduled to appear in Harpersfield Court at a later date.
