HAVERSTRAW — The Haverstraw Police Department has arrested Brahyan CepinRodriguez, 22, in connection with an alleged sexual assault reported in the Village of Haverstraw in December.
In late December, the Haverstraw Police Department responded to a report of a sexual assault.
Following an extensive investigation, CepinRodriguez was identified as a suspect and has been charged with two counts of rape in the first degree.
CepinRodriguez was located and arrested last week by Haverstraw Police personnel and subsequently arraigned in the Village of Haverstraw Justice Court.
Bail was set at $25,000 cash, $40,000 bond, or $40,000 partially secured bond.
The investigation is still active, and further details will be released as they become available.
