CORTLANDVILLE — A Cortlandville man has been arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after a vehicle crash early Sunday.
Damien M. Towers, 26, was taken into custody by the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office in the area of Kellogg Road in Cortlandville on March 2 at 1:32 a.m.
Officers responded to a report of a one-car accident around 12:58 a.m.
Upon arrival, they determined that Towers was intoxicated at the time of the crash.
In addition to the DWI misdemeanor, Towers faces multiple infractions, including having a single license plate, leaving the scene of a property damage crash, failure to keep right, and operating an uninspected motor vehicle.
Towers was processed at the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office and subsequently released on his own recognizance following an arraignment through the Centralized Arraignment Process on March 3 at 8:00 a.m.
His next court appearance is scheduled for March 12 at 11:30 a.m. in the Town of Cortlandville Court.
