ROYALTON — A Barre woman was arrested Saturday evening during a traffic stop in Royalton after Vermont State Police troopers discovered she had an active warrant for her arrest.
The incident occurred around 7:40 p.m. on Vermont Route 14 near Waterman Road.
Troopers from the Vermont State Police Royalton Barracks conducted the stop and identified the passenger as 45-year-old Jennifer M. Ciobanu.
Ciobanu was found to have an outstanding in-state warrant for misdemeanor possession of depressant, stimulant, or narcotic less than 100 doses.
She was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Vermont State Police Royalton Barracks for processing.
Ciobanu was released with a citation to appear in court the following day.
