Motorcyclist critically injured in Webster accident

WEBSTER — A motorcyclist was critically injured in a collision with a car on Lake Road.

The accident occurred at 4:35 p.m. Friday.

Police responded to the scene in the 900 block of Lake Road, along with Webster Fire Department, Penfield Ambulance, and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department.

Preliminary investigations suggest the motorcycle, traveling westbound at high speed, hit a vehicle attempting to maintain its lane after exiting a driveway and proceeding eastbound.

The 20-year-old motorcyclist was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital, where officials said he remains in critical but stable condition.

The 17-year-old driver of the car was treated for minor injuries at the scene.

The accident site was secured for several hours for a detailed investigation, which included interviews, evidence collection, and accident reconstruction.

The New York State Police Accident Reconstruction Unit was called in to assist.
