Deputies respond to rollover accident on Old Kings Highway in Rochester

ROCHESTER — Deputies from the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office responded to a personal injury automobile accident involving a vehicle rollover on Old Kings Highway in the Town of Rochester.

The incident occurred on Feb. 19 at approximately 7:32 a.m.

The investigation revealed that a 2009 Ford Focus, operated by a 17-year-old male from Kerhonkson, New York, failed to use the designated lane while traveling north on Old Kings Highway.

The vehicle lost control, struck an earth embankment and a tree, and overturned onto its roof.

Both the driver and a 21-year-old passenger sustained minor injuries from the accident.

They were treated at the scene and transported to Ellenville Regional Hospital by the Accord/Kerhonkson First Aide Squad.

Members of the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office were assisted at the scene by the Accord/Kerhonkson First Aide Squad, New York State Police, and the Accord Fire Department.
