Annsville authorities seize drugs, arrest two in gang operation

ANNSVILLE — On Jan. 15, the New York State Police Troop D Violent Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team, in collaboration with the Special Operations Response Team, Canine Unit, and uniformed officers, executed a search warrant at 8422 Meadows Road in Annsville.

State Police confiscated 12 pounds of crystal methamphetamine, a quantity of cocaine, eight long guns, over $400,000 in U.S. currency, as well as drug packaging materials and scales during the operation.

Following an extensive investigation, authorities apprehended the primary suspect, Ted A. Croniser, 53, from Taberg, on Feb. 27.

The arrest involved the New York State Police Troop D Violent Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team, U.S. Marshals (NYNJRFTF), Oneida County Sheriff’s Office, Utica Police Department, and Oneida County Probation.

Croniser was located and taken into custody at a residence on Glenridge Drive in Annsville.

During the arrest, Jessica L. Centro, 38, from Taberg, attempted to conceal Croniser and obstruct the apprehension, leading to her arrest as well.

Croniser faces charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the second degree, a Class A-II felony.

Centro is charged with hindering prosecution in the first degree, a Class D felony, and obstruction of governmental administration, a Class A misdemeanor.

Both individuals are currently being held at the Oneida County Jail pending centralized arraignment, with additional charges anticipated as the investigation continues.
