PERRYSBURG — A 23-year-old local resident, Jersie Silverheels, was arrested early Thursday morning for criminal possession of a controlled substance following a traffic stop on Indian Hill Rd.
Authorities from the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office executed a bench warrant arrest at approximately 12:47 a.m.
The investigation revealed multiple felony bench warrants for Silverheels across different courts.
K9 Lex, a police dog, indicated the presence of narcotics, which led deputies to search the vehicle.
During the search, deputies discovered a felony amount of crack cocaine.
Silverheels has been remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail, where he is awaiting further court proceedings related to the warrants.
