KINGSTON — Detectives from the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office and investigators from the Ulster County Family and Child Advocacy Center have arrested a Marlboro man on rape and child endangerment charges.
Authorities received a report on Jan. 29 of the rape of a juvenile.
An investigation determined that Jonathan A. Aragon Perez, 23, had sexual intercourse with a 15-year-old female victim on Jan. 18.
Aragon Perez was arrested the same day and charged with five counts of third-degree rape, a felony, and one count of endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.
Following his arrest, he was taken to the Centralized Arraignment Part Court of Ulster County, where he was arraigned and remanded to the Ulster County Jail.
He is scheduled to appear in Marlborough Justice Court on a future date.
All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
