Ithaca man arrested on unlawful imprisonment charge in Cortlandville

CORTLANDVILLE — Chad F. Murray, 32, of Ithaca, was arrested on Feb. 24 and charged with unlawful imprisonment in the second degree and two counts of harassment in the second degree following a domestic incident.

The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office reported that officers responded to the incident on Feb. 22 in the Town of Cortlandville at approximately 8:10 p.m.

Authorities allege that Murray subjected two individuals to unwanted physical contact and restricted the movement of one of the individuals.

Murray was not present at the scene when officers arrived, leading to the issuance of an arrest warrant.

He was subsequently arrested and processed, then arraigned in Cortlandville Town Court on Feb. 24 at 11:30 a.m.

Murray was released on his own recognizance.

His next court appearance is scheduled for April 2 at 11:30 a.m. in the Town of Cortlandville Court.
