HOLLAND — A heavy police presence was reported Wednesday afternoon in the 100 block of Union Road in connection with a missing persons investigation.
State Police, upon arriving at the scene, recovered a body.
There is no identified threat to the public, authorities said.
The investigation is being conducted by the State Police Detective Unit assigned to both the Hampden and Worcester District Attorney’s Offices, in collaboration with the Sturbridge and Holland Police Departments.
Identification of the deceased is pending positive identification and notification of next of kin.
