NEWBURY — Troopers from the St. Johnsbury barracks responded to a report of a single-vehicle rollover crash at approximately 7:10 p.m. Feb. 14 in the area of 929 US Route 302.
Emergency medical services informed troopers upon arrival that the driver and two juvenile passengers were being transported to Cottage Hospital.
The driver, identified as Sybil Jeffers, 40, of Bethlehem, New Hampshire, was determined to be under the influence of intoxicants at the time of the crash, according to investigators.
Jeffers, who was not wearing a seat belt, sustained suspected minor injuries.
Her 2008 Toyota Sequoia sustained substantial front-end damage.
She was processed at the hospital and released with a citation to appear in Orange County Superior Court — Criminal Division.
Jeffers faces charges including driving under the influence – refusal, negligent operation, reckless endangerment and cruelty to a child.
