WATERBURY — Officers with the Waterbury Police Department arrested three people on drug-related charges following a traffic stop on W Main Street and Sperry Street late Feb. 24.
Police said officers conducted the stop at approximately 10:34 p.m. for traffic violations.
During the investigation, authorities seized marijuana, U.S. currency, drug paraphernalia and 35.1 grams of crack cocaine.
Tony Callands, 40, of Waterbury, was charged with interfering with an officer, operating a drug factory, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of narcotics with intent to sell.
Mia Espinosa, 19, of New Britain, was charged with interfering with an officer, operating a drug factory and possession of narcotics with intent to sell.
Maria Viveros-Ferrer, 24, of Plainville, was charged with operating a drug factory, possession of narcotics with intent to sell and operating a motor vehicle without insurance.
