TROY — Authorities executed three search warrants at separate apartments Friday morning, leading to multiple arrests and the seizure of drugs and firearms, the Troy Police Department said.

The Troy Police Special Operations Section Detectives and Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Office Investigators conducted the searches as part of ongoing investigations.

The first warrant was executed by the Troy Police Emergency Response Team at 250 9th St. in connection to a drug and weapon investigation.

A male suspect, identified as Robert Moore, 46, of Troy, was taken into custody without incident and was found to possess 40 envelopes containing powder that included fentanyl, police said.

Officers then conducted a second search at 319 4th St., second floor, which was related to the same investigation.

There, they arrested Dewanna M. Yakubu, 44, of Troy, who was found with two loaded firearms equipped with extended magazines, police said.

She was taken into custody without incident.

Simultaneously, the Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Unit and Emergency Services Unit searched the basement apartment of 319 4th St. as part of a separate narcotics distribution investigation.

Authorities said the apartment was equipped with surveillance cameras at all corners and reinforced to hinder law enforcement entry.

One individual was detained, and the investigation remains ongoing.

Moore and Yakubu were arraigned in Troy City Court, and the Rensselaer County District Attorney’s Office is handling the prosecutions.

Authorities urged anyone with information about illegal drug sales or firearms activity to contact police at (518) 270-4777 or submit tips online at troypd.org.
