Barre man arrested on DUI #3 charge after crash

MONTPELIER — Troopers from the Vermont State Police Berlin Barracks responded to a report of a crash at approximately 11:42 a.m. Tuesday on Towne Hill Road.

During the investigation, troopers made contact with Michael J. Perry, 37, of Barre City, who displayed signs of impairment after confirming he had operated a motor vehicle on a public roadway.

Troopers also observed a prescribed substance that was not in its prescription packaging and was not believed to be prescribed to Perry.

Perry was taken into custody without incident on suspicion of DUI 3 and unauthorized possession of a prescribed substance.

He was processed at the Vermont State Police Berlin Barracks and evaluated by medical professionals at Central Vermont Medical Center.
