NEW LONDON — Police are investigating a report of gunfire early Sunday near Connecticut Avenue and Pleasant Street.
Officers responded at about 1:46 a.m. and found evidence supporting the report.
Members of the Investigative Services Division processed the scene, collected evidence, and canvassed the surrounding area.
No injuries were reported.
Police said the incident does not appear to be random.
The investigation remains active.
