BRIDGEWATER — A Bridgewater man was arrested after allegedly firing a shotgun at another person during a dispute, authorities said.
Vermont State Police troopers responded to a residence on Gold Coast Road at approximately 2:49 p.m. on Feb. 22 after receiving a report of gunfire.
The victim, Joseph Laderoute, 70, told police that someone had shot at him.
An investigation determined that Glenn Testa, 77, had fired a shotgun at Laderoute, who was known to him, police said.
Testa was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Royalton Barracks for processing.
He was issued a flash citation to appear in Windsor County Superior Court at 12:30 p.m. on Feb. 24.
Testa was lodged without bail at Southern State Correctional Facility on charges of aggravated assault with a firearm and reckless endangerment.
