WORCESTER — Worcester Police officers arrested a man for assault with a firearm on Feb. 21 at about 9:33 a.m.
Officers responded to the area of Crompton Street after receiving a report of an assault involving a firearm.
According to police, two city sanitation workers were picking up trash when a trash bag touched a vehicle as they loaded it into their truck.
A man, later identified as 32-year-old Juan Montalvo, allegedly began screaming at the workers and threatened to kill them while holding a firearm by his side.
Officers stopped Montalvo as he attempted to leave his apartment and arrested him for assault with a dangerous weapon (firearm).
Police obtained a search warrant for Montalvo’s residence.
At about 4:30 p.m., officers entered the apartment and located what appeared to be fentanyl.
Montalvo was additionally charged with possession of fentanyl with intent to distribute.
