Kittery police investigate rollover crash on I-95 early Friday

KITTERY — Maine State Police are investigating a single-vehicle rollover crash that occurred early Friday on Interstate 95 southbound.

Troopers from Troop G responded to mile marker 2 in Kittery at 12:10 a.m. after reports of a crash.

Upon arrival, they found a gold Buick sedan overturned and blocking the left and middle lanes.

The driver, identified as 48-year-old Kristopher Robidas-Adams of Berwick, was trapped inside the vehicle.

Troopers and Kittery Police attempted to extricate Robidas-Adams but were unable to do so due to the severity of the damage.

Kittery Fire/EMS and York Fire/EMS provided medical aid and successfully removed Robidas-Adams from the vehicle.

He was transported to Portsmouth Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.

The Maine Turnpike was fully closed southbound from exit 7 for approximately two hours as crews worked to clear the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
