Driver cited for negligent operation, leaving the scene after crash on I-89 in Middlesex

MIDDLESEX — A Burlington woman was cited for negligent operation and leaving the scene of a crash following an incident on Interstate 89 early Saturday morning.

Troopers from the Berlin Barracks responded to a motor vehicle crash on I-89 southbound near mile marker 57 at approximately 6:39 a.m. on Feb. 22.

The crash resulted in property damage.

The operator, identified as 37-year-old Rachel Lindsay of Burlington, was found to have knowingly fled the scene of the crash.

An investigation revealed that Lindsay had been operating her vehicle in a negligent manner prior to the crash.

Lindsay was released with a citation to appear in Washington County Superior Court to answer to the charges of negligent operation and leaving the scene of an accident.
