PLAINFIELD — A 21-year-old Orange resident was arrested for driving under the influence following a crash on Middle Rd. in Plainfield on Feb. 22 at 10:30 p.m.
Vermont State Police responded to a report of a vehicle slide-off on Middle Rd. in clear weather and dry road conditions.
The operator, Riley Chaffee, was found to be driving a 2005 Toyota Tacoma.
Troopers determined Chaffee had been operating under the influence, leading to the crash.
Chaffee was taken into custody and transported to the Vermont State Police Berlin Barracks for processing.
Chaffee was cited to appear in the Vermont Superior Court Washington Criminal Division to answer to the charge of DUI.
