Brunswick police arrest 2 men on stolen property charges

BRUNSWICK — State Police arrested Phillip W. Parson, 52, of Bennington, and Nathan A. Stone, 49, of Bennington, on Feb. 21 on charges of fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and fifth-degree conspiracy.

At about 12:14 a.m., troopers stopped a pickup truck in the area of Hoosick Road in Brunswick for a vehicle and traffic law violation.

The driver was identified as Stone, and the passenger as Parson.

During the investigation, troopers discovered a dirt bike in the back of the truck that had been reported stolen from Bennington on Feb. 16.

The dirt bike was seized.

Stone and Parson were arrested and transported to SP Brunswick for processing.

They were issued appearance tickets returnable to Brunswick Town Court on March 5 and released.
