ALBANY — Albany police are investigating a shooting that occurred Thursday afternoon on Second Avenue.
At around 2:00 p.m., officers responded to a residence on the 200 block of Second Avenue near South Dove Street for reports of a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers found an adult male inside with a gunshot wound to his head.
The victim was treated at the scene by emergency medical personnel and transported to Albany Medical Center Hospital in critical condition.
The investigation remains ongoing.
